We need to discuss
About two issues relating to the recent 2026 PRO 10 European Cup.
1.
Team XRAY fails to include the clarification in its social media posts and on its website, that Alexander Hagberg’s victory in the Modified class is not a victory in the sense of "the new European PRO 10 Cup Champion", but rather his position after three qualifying heats, until the cancellation of the event.
This first position does not constitute a victory in the 2026 European Cup. There is no winner this year! This has been clarified by the organiser.
This clarification is in no way intended to detract from the achievement of the driver who finished first. His performance was impressive. It is quite possible that the standings would have remained the same after the finals.
2.
Anyone who is now impressed by the performance of the XRAY car should realise that Alexander Hagberg, 2-time world and multiple european champion is a professional RC car driver who is, of course, more talented than most of those reading this text 😉 and who works hard, conscientiously and professionally to constantly improve and get the most out of his package. A professional’s approach is different from that of those who are just there for fun and want to spend a good weekend - Consequently, the pressure is quite different. The professionals have learnt to cope with it well over the years.
Nevertheless, it would have been a defeat if Alex and XRAY hadn’t finished the event in P1. In the real world, that means they did everything in their power to achieve that goal.
For a manufacturer for whom economic interests take precedence over a passion for the sport, the enjoyment of the hobby and having a good weekend, different rules apply than for most of those taking part in this event. Of course, most people want to achieve a good result, or get the best out of it – whether they’re drivers or manufacturers. We would argue that the effort XRAY put in to finish this event in P1 was considerable.
As early as Thursday evening, after the first official day of the event, a number of blown up batteries ended up in the designated sand-filled safety containers along the track. These batteries were practically brand new were swollen and destroyed. We saw damaged Shorty batteries with a capacity of around 6500mAh and MID-Size batteries with a capacity of around 7700mAh. But, none of the large stick batteries with a capacity of more than 8000mAh ended up in the containers.
What we’re trying to say is that no ordinary amateur driver wants to – nor should – go to the same lengths as a professional team to win an event. You can be quite sure that it involved a considerable amount of effort and material. That’s why we build cars that can withstand the increased stresses encountered in race trim, enough space to fit a large stick battery with more than 9000mAh to safely complete the 5-minute race. That’s why our cars are built so that key components – such as the main chassis, motor pod or front end or body – don’t break every time there’s a crash or a opponent's contact - as a result, these cars are also slightly heavier. We know from reliable sources that Xray has used up a considerable number of spare parts, such as main chassis. We replace our Main chassis when it is worn out. It usually never breaks.
As already mentioned elsewhere, it remains to be seen whether the entry of the major manufacturers – led by XRAY – will lead to positive developments in the PRO 10 scene, or whether this will bring us closer to the situation and trends in other RC car classes, such as 1/10 electric TC, where the big teams are increasingly isolating themselves from the others, or whether our favourite class will be able to resist this trend.
We view these developments with mixed feelings and have a certain amount of respect for this trend.
Support the small Manufacturers
As the name of a major RC car manufacturer has frequently been mentioned in the many lines above, we don’t want to overlook the many smaller manufacturers, such as VIP-Performance, WRP, JRP, KaTi, Bezerk or Downforce RC, which produce highly specialised, high-quality PRO 10 RC cars, or the slightly larger ones, such as Fenix Racing or Roche, which also produce good, affordable products.
If you want to support the Pro 10 community, why not buy their products?
This platform receives no financial support from any RC car manufacturers.

Romors about a PRO 10 car from Schumacher
During the recent race weekend in Lostallo, rumours began to circulate about the well-known RC car brand Schumacher and the possible development of a PRO 10 car, as well as its participation in this year’s European Cup in Paris, France, in six weeks’ time.
Following the registration of Alexander Hagberg with his XRAY XP10 and Ollie Payne with his Excelerate PRO 10 as professional drivers, this would be the next surprise and a clear indication that the PRO 10 class may once again be attractive to the major manufacturers.
We will keep an eye on this subject.

International Grand Prix @Scandiano (RE) on Sunday 09.11.2025
The international Grand Prix in Scandiano in the beginning of November 2025 is the place to be for the rear-wheel and foam tyre junkies. Team La Gang, well known for their experienced organisation, high performance track and drivers line-up.
Please go there, have fun and support your local organisers.
The new WRPOne Pro 10 body
After years of testing in terms of manufacturing, material specifications, drivability and performance, WRP has now released its first own body.
The WRPOne was developed specifically for the 13.5t Stock class and has already been used successfully. The shape was specially adapted to the current dimensions of most Pro 10 cars. The disadvantages of existing bodys, such as wheel arches that are too low at the front and rear, wheel arches that are too narrow at the rear and too much rear downforce, have been corrected and inherent stability has been increased at the same time.
The body has already been homologated for the Swiss Championship and may be used from the next race onwards. Further homologations are planned and will follow.

Foam race day
Marco Donadelli, a passionate Italian Pan Car driver sent us some news from our southern neighbours.
The 1st edition of the 'Foam race day' was run sunday 31 August on the beautyful track of Fontanellato, north of Italy. The race was organized by Minicar Fontanellato club with the enthousiasm of local racer, Mario Nelli.
2 Categories were run:
- PRO10 (13.5t blinky, efra motor)
- F1 (21.5t blinky, efra motor)
The aim of the race was to organize a different race from usual touring car races. The track with his flat and high grip tarmac and fast layout suits perfect for the beloved PRO10 class and other Pan Car classes.
There was one group in PRO10 and 2 groups in F1.
Due to the short term organisation prior to the event, the number of participants was a bit small. The main goal is to repeat the race next year with more participants -> maybe with a PRO10 Modified class?
The final classification PRO10:
- Marco Donadelli
- Alessandro Manciocchi
- Cavuoto Ivo
- Paolo Fossa
- Mario Nelli
- Gianfranco Bola
- Marco Farioli
- Massimilianl Cavazzini
We hope to help this club, this organisation and the whole PRO10 community from Italy to get the this Fun class growing. Maybe we will see positive developments and successful racing events in the next years.
I am looking forward to going there and racing these guys - the italians are well known for their passionate ambitions.
Fontanellato is situated 100km south of Milano direction Bologna directly at the "Autostrada del sole" A1.

Main Chassis:
The main chassis is comprised of an aluminum battery tray that is the foundation for the damper blade suspension. The front chassis plate is machined from 7075 T6 aluminum while the rear flex plate and pivot plate are machined from heat treated steel to keep the center of gravity ultra low. Premium carbon fiber components complete the main chassis.
Front Suspension:
The Pro Kingpin front suspension is sliding kingpin style front end but with refinements to the details to allow improved consistency and driving precision. The 5 degree front kingpins are machined heat treated steel with an ultra smooth electroplate coating. Paired with with low friction steering block bushings that feature an internal groove to carry grease that keeps the front end damping constant from start to finish. The Pro Kingpin Adjusters allow for quick and accurate preload adjustments just by turning the adjuster.
-3.0 degree steering blocks come standard along with our 5.0lb front springs.
The front carbon plate is extremely solid to minimize flex for the most precise feel possible while having a simple 3 bolt mounting system that keys into the chassis mounts for perfect
alignment every time. The front end is also paired with our own servo saver that comes
standard with an aluminum crank to reduce the package size and allow the servo to be mounted as low as possible
Rear Suspension:
The rear suspension is the first multi-axis suspension system of its kind. Featuring four pivots that provide adjustable roll center and the ability to change roll axis of the chassis while isolating the roll vs bump characteristics.
Bump and roll characteristics can be adjusted using optional flex pivot’s that allows improved rough track handling as well as increased forward traction. These changes can be made in a matter of seconds with optional flex pivots and O-rings.
This design is combined with our rotary damper rod that is seated into the battery tray. These rotary damper rods can be fined tuned for a variety of track conditions while the kit comes standard with 3.0lb rear springs.
Rear Pod:
The rear axle tube is machined from one solid piece of aluminum to ensure perfect bearing
alignment. The rear axle tub features an alignment mark to assist with rear track width
measurements. The lightened titanium rear axle features a knurled end that the right-side hub is pressed onto to ensure a permanent bond between the axle and the hub.

New Pro 10 Car from Xray: XP10
The announcement a few weeks ago that Xray intends to produce a 235mm Pan Car has caused quite a stir. We see this development as an indication that the Pro10 class is neither dead nor dying.
It was reasonable to assume that Xray, who already have many different pan car models, would use some parts from the well-known models such as the X1 Formula 1, the X10 200mm 1/10th scale pan car and the X12 12th scale pan car. However, we hoped that new parts would also be added.
This new vehicle is based on the extremely successful X12 and X1 platforms with the chassis from the front to the back. However, after the release of the XRAY presentation, you can see that most of the parts come from these platforms. The exxisting drive shaft is used and longer hubs have been developed on the left and right. Wider carbon parts at the front and a bigger bumper has been designed. It is well possible to put some rather standard components like a low-profile servo (no need to use a mini servo), the shorty or mid-size battery and big "Pro" controllers. As we have read, the focus was on handling and the minimise the car's weight. The car is really light. It is possible to run under 1000g (with a low-profile servo).
We will see to what this vehicle will be able to achieve compared to the existing vehicles from Roche and the many other small manufacturers, such as JRP, WRP, VIP, etc.
